GAMESA Sets Up Wind Turbine Manufacturing Plant In India It is learnt that M/s. Gamesa Eolica, a Spanish wind turbine manufacturing company has started its operations in India by setting up a subsidiary Gamesa Wind Turbines Pvt Ltd. The Plant is located at Red Hills near Chennai in Tamil Nadu. Gamesa Wind Turbines Pvt Ltd will manufacture G58/850 kW wind turbines.

GEL Plans To Setup 200 MW Wind Power Project It is learnt that M/s. Ghodawat Energy Limited (GEL) is planning to setup a 200 MW grid connected Wind Power Project in the states of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

NLC To Issue NIT For 50 MW Wind Energy Sector It is learnt that M/s. Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) is planning to issue Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for selecting vendor for their 50 MW Wind Power Project.

GACL To Setup Up 21 MW Wind Power Project It is learnt that M/s. Gujarat Alkali & Chemicals Ltd (GACL) is setting up a 21 MW Wind Power Project at Maliya Miyana in Rajkot District of Gujarat. The project comprises of 14 x1.5 MW WEGs of Suzlon.

L&T Group To Setup 8.7 MW Wind Power Project It is learnt that M/s. Larsen & Toubro Infrastructure Development Projects Ltd (L&T IDPL), a subsidiary of L&T is setting up a 8.7 MW Wind Power Project in the state of Tamil Nadu. The project comprises of 3x1.5 MW WEGs and 2x2.1 MW WEGs of Suzlon.

CLP To Enhance Its Wind Power Capcities To 650 MW It is learnt that M/s. CLP Power India Pvt Ltd, a group company of CLP, Hong-Kong is planning to augment its wind power installed capacity to 650 MW in India by the end of year 2010. Out of 650 MW, 104 MW is already installed, 346 MW is under construction. The company has also identified locations in the states of Gujarat, Maharshtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for setting up remaining Wind Power Projects.

KRBL To Setup 8.1 MW Wind Power Project It is learnt that M/s. KRBL Ltd is setting up a 8.1 MW Wind Power Project in the state of Tamil Nadu. The project comprises of Suzlon make wind turbines.

AIRVOICE Group To Setup 200 MW Wind Power Project It is learnt that Gurgaon based, Airvoice Group in association with Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) is planning to setup a 200 MW Wind Power Project in the state of Karnataka.

Acciona To Setup Two Wind Power Projects It is learnt that M/s. Acciona Wind Energy (P) Ltd is planning to setup two Wind Power Projects with total installed capacity of 29.7 MW in the state of Karnataka. The company has finance tie-up with State Bank of India for 16.5 MW Wind Power Project located at Anabaru and 13.2 MW Wind Power Project located at Arasiagundi.

MPUVN Increases Processing Fees For Renewable Energy Projects M.P Urja Vikas Nigam, Bhopal, the State Nodal Agency for renewable energy in M.P, has increases the processing fees for registration of renewable energy projects as per MPUVN order dtd 25/26.02.2010. The details of revised fees are as follows. Upto 5 MW 0.25% of Project Cost, subject to Maximum of 10 Lacs. Above 5 MW 2.0 Lacs per MW, subject to Maximum of 1.0 Crore
