GERC Revises Tariff for Wind Power Projects Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) has revised tariff for wind power projects vide their order 1of 2010. The Commission has worked out the levelised tariff for wind power projects to Rs.3.56 per unit.

MPERC Issues Public Notice For Tariff Determination of Wind Power Projects Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC) has issued a public notice on 20.01.2010 for fixation of revised norms for determination of tariff for procurement of power from Wind Electric Generators. They have prepared a draft document in this regard and comments have been invited on this document, placed on their website. Comments have been invited by 10.02.2010 and the hearing on the same has been scheduled to be held on 22.02.2010 at 11:30 AM at Commission’s office.

HPPCL Invites Tender For Joint Venture in Wind Power Project Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (HPPCL) has issued an expression of interest (EOI) to finalise a joint venture partner for setting up wind power projects.

ATE Sets Aside Electricity Regulator’s Order The Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (ATE), New Delhi has set aside an order of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) not allowing the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) to collect Infrastructure Development Charges (IDC) from wind energy generators. The tribunal's order paves way for the TNEB to collect an IDC of Rs 28.75 lakh a MW from wind energy generators. The order by the Appellate Tribunal passed on January 8 follows an appeal by the TNEB challenging TNERC's order dated September 19, 2008.

RRECL Invites RFP For 10 MW Wind Power Project Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd (RRECL) invites Request For Proposal (RFP) for setting up 10 MW Wind Power Project in District Jaisalmer / Jodhpur/Barmar in the State of Rajasthan vide their Tender No RREC/Wind Power/2009-10/1 Dtd 08.12.2009. The last date for submission of RFP bid was 11.01.2010 which has been extended till 19.01.2010

PCTL To Develop 16.8 MW Wind Power Project M/s. Paharpur Cooling Towers Limited (PCTL) is developing 16.8 MW Wind Power Project in Mannoor in Thirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu. The project consists of 21 x 800 kW WEG, of make Enercon India Ltd. PCTL have given an assignment to M/s. Consolidated Energy Consultants Ltd. (CECL), Bhopal for estimation of generation of Enercon’s WEGs.

NTIL Entered Into Wind Power Sector It is learnt that M/s Nakoda Textile Industries Ltd (NTIL) has made its debut in wind energy sector by commissioning of 6.75 MW wind farm project at at Ayikudi village in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. The project consists of 9 x 750 kW WEG, of make Global Wind Power Ltd.

ITC To Setup Two Wind Power Projects It is learnt that M/s ITC Ltd is planning to set up, operate and maintain two new wind power projects having capacities 21 MW and 6 MW in the state of Karnataka and Maharashtra respectively. The Karnataka wind power project will consist of 10 x 2.1 MW WEGs of Suzlon and Maharashtra wind power project will consist of 4 x 1.5 MW WEGs of Suzlon

Ushdev International To Setup 16.5 MW Wind Power Project It is learnt that M/s Ushdev International is planning to set up additional 16.5 MW wind power project. The project will have WEGs of make Vestas Wind Technology India Pvt Ltd. This project will be installed in Theni Village, Tamil Nadu State and the power generated from this project will be sold to Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.

Indian Energy To Install Wind Power Project In Tamil Nadu It is learnt that M/s Indian Energy, an independent power producing company is installing 16.5 MW wind power project in Theni area, Tamil Nadu. The project is comprising of 11 Nos 1500 kW WEGs of Regen Powertech make. Ultimately, they have aplan to establish an aggregate capacity of 49.5 MW at the site with Regen Powertech 1500 kW WEGs.

Veer Energy Planning To Setup Wind Power Project It is learnt that M/s Veer Energy & Infrastructure Ltd, a Mumbai based company is planning to set up 200 MW Wind Power Project at Bachhau in Kutch District of Gujarat State.

PPS Enviro To Setup 15 MW Wind Power Project It is learnt that M/s PPS Enviro Power, a Hyderabad based company is planning to set up 15 MW wind power project in Tamil Nadu. The project will consists of 10 x 1.5 MW WEGs of Leitner Shriram Manufacturing Limited.

T.S Wind Power To Setup 30 MW Wind Power Project It is learnt that M/s T.S Wind Power Developers, a group company of Pune based Fleet Owners M/s Vavalakha Transport, are planning to set up 30 MW wind power project in Tamil Nadu. The project will be comprising of WEGs of Leitner Shriram Manufacturing Limited make.

Betul Wind Farms Floats 50 MW Tender It is learnt that M/s Betul Wind Farms Ltd (a subsidiary company of Shiv-vani Oil and Gas Exploration Services Ltd.) have floated a tender for their wind power project of about 50 MW capacity near village Kukru, Tehsil Bhainsdehi, Dist. Betul, Madhya Pradesh. It is expected that the size of the WEGs and the vendor who will be completing the project on their behalf on turn key basis will get finalised by mid of March-2010.

Savita Chemicals Planning To Setup Wind Power Project It is learnt that M/s Savita Chemicals Limited is planning to set up additional 50 MW Wind Power Project. They have already got wind power projects in the state of Karnataka and Maharashtra
